FOUR LANES OR MORE
Drivers behind the bus MUST STOP.
Drivers going the opposite direction should PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
TWO LANES
Drivers traveling in both directions MUST STOP.
The ABCs of Bus Stop Safety
Arrive 5 minutes early and wait 10 feet from the curb.
Board only when the bus has stopped, and the driver says go.
Cross safely when you exit by looking left-right-left.
Drop something near the bus? Don’t retrieve it. Ask the driver for help.
Ensure the bus driver sees you – stay 10 feet in front of the bus.
For safety, never walk behind the bus.
